Thanks to all of you who were able to join us for the first step on our vitality journey toward becoming a Healthy Missional Church this past Saturday (Oct. 8/2016) at the Veritas Workshop. By ‘healthy’,we mean relentless pursuing Christ. By ‘missional’, we mean pursuing Christ’s priorities in the world. To sum up the Veritas workshop in brief: we looked at a common language to confront Headwaters’ reality in a way that is honest, hopeful and courageous. We each took time to evaluate our consistency/frequency in the 10 missional markers and then put an ‘x’ on the spot where we feel Headwaters is at right now with an arrow pointing in the direction we are heading (click here to download worksheet: healthy missional).
The next step on this journey is to participate in Navigate. Len Lantz, Emily Roehm, Linda Leffler and I will be going to a national conference in Minneapolis at the beginning of November. Please be in prayer for us and go to our website (helenaheadwaters.org) for more information regarding the timeline of the vitality process. We will be continuing to post updates and blogs on our process through our website, so be sure to make frequent visits to catch up on all the latest. We do have extra workbooks and a dvd of the workshop if anyone who missed out is interested in going though it. Please contact Pastor Seth.
